Fri, 8 January 2010 Episode 5 of the Christ Enlight focuses on two quotes from J. Krishnamurti. The first is, "Life is really very beautiful, it is not this ugly thing that we have made of it; and you can appreciate its richness, its depth, its extraordinary loveliness only when you revolt against everything - against organized religion, against tradition, against the present rotten society - so that you as a human being find out for yourself what is true." The other is, "We must create immediately an atmosphere of freedom so that you can live and find out for yourselves what is true, so that you become intelligent, so that you are able to face the world and understand it, not just conform to it, so that inwardly, deeply, psychologically you are in constant revolt; because it is only those who are in constant revolt that discover that discover what is true, not the [person] who conforms, who follows some tradition. It is only when you are constantly inquiring, constantly observing, constantly learning, that you find truth, God, or love; and you cannot inquire, observe, learn, you cannot be deeply aware, if you are afraid." Christ Enlight
Christ Enlight is a new view of Christianity, one that recognizes that the majority of Christ's teachings were wisdom and enlightenment teaching, the purpose of which was to move us to a mature, adult spirituality. So-called salvation teachings were the minortity of his teaching, but have been promoted by churches to the exclusion of the wisdom and enlightenment teachings. Christ Enlight exists to change that trend.
The Spiritual Teacher of Christ Enlight is Craig Bergland. Craig is the Presiding Bishop of the Universal Anglican Church and is also a student of spirituality of all kinds. In addition to being a co-founder of the Universal Anglican Church, Craig founded the Ecumenical Franciscans of the Renewal and Bishop Craig Ministries.
